- R-J LThe vegan egg benedict hit the spot. I could have been convinced that the patty was actual meat. Heaps of scrambled tofu and sauce atop the patty and toast completed the decadent layered composition as a musical note completes the chord in which it sits. Each bite had a satisfying and delicious heftiness to it. I was surprised to find this cafe empty, juxtaposed with the crowded HAVEN next door. I have only a few days to myself in Siem Reap and I already know I'm coming back!
- Simon LMy greatest regret is that it's my last night in Siem Reap and Roots is closed. In truth, the prices here are on the higher side, but the food is so damn good, as are the portions. And the owner (can't remember his name) is such a nice guy! Although they open at 11, there are smoothies and smoothie bowls on the menu, as well as lunch/dinner type dishes. Sit outside and enjoy the garden!
- Gerard KIn a word....WOW!!! Just open a couple of weeks, I had my evening food there this evening. I'll be back soon .... and for the same choice I made this evening...... Mozzarella and pesto on toasted sourdough...... with a large serving of carrot bisque .... simply delicious........ it's a lovely, well written menu ...... not too long! I could eat everything on it. I'm not vegan or vegetarian..... I like and eat good food! If I could eat food like this every day, I'd happily be a vegan!! Finally, Brian, Zoe, Benny and Sovian are truly welcoming, friendly and very interesting to chat with. My advice...... go now!!! I'm certain Roots will become a very popular Eatery in Siem Reap...... go before this happens.
